Weekend in the Word is an annual weekend retreat, whereby believers of all ages are presented with hands-on, practical teaching in one of three areas: evangelism, Scripture, and personal living.
SPEAKER
Rick Clendining was saved in the early 80’s out of a hippie lifestyle when he was 27 years old and living on a sailboat on Saltspring Island. He was closely discipled by a Shantyman Missionary for several years, then moved to Vancouver area for 4 years and attended Regent College, where he met and married his wife Barb. For the past 30 years they have been serving Jesus as missionaries in small fishing villages on Vancouver Island. This ministry has included itinerant church planting, camp speaking, youth & children’s Bible studies, Bible conference speaking and teaching module courses at Bible schools. Their 3 children are living on the prairies continuing in service for Jesus. Rick and Barb presently live in Ucluelet where Rick pastors a small Bible Church.
