School of Apollos: “… mighty in the Scriptures … ” (Acts 18:24)
This is Compass Call’s opportunity to give you a heads-up for its next event. I don’t know how many of these newsletters I have written over the years, probably around fifteen. I started writing it about three years ago, even though the actual Compass Call ministry started in 2007, twelve years ago (with some 50 events since then).
We are announcing the next installment of the School of Apollos—our eleventh, believe it or not. Apart from studies in OT books of Job and early Genesis, this is our first venture into the Minor Prophets. Wes Kavanagh (teacher at Chronicles twice) will lead us through Hosea.
What books is Hosea squeezed between? What is the target audience and main themes of Hosea? Do you have any idea where it is in the Bible? If it helps, it’s on page 1747 of my Bible. Reading it a few times in advance would be a great help.
I know you’re in for a treat as Wes, a very thorough Bible teacher, works through Hosea with a present-day application.
