Peter Daley was raised in Montreal, Quebec. He taught high school for 6 years in Ontario and one year in Zambia at a mission school. He and his wife, Louise then felt led to go to the mission field. After a year of theological training in California they went to Portugal and learned the Portuguese language. From there they went on to Angola, Africa as full time missionaries among the Chokwe people. Unfortunately a civil war entered their area and the Daleys had to leave Angola.
They continued to serve the Lord in the state of Montana in the USA. They also spent another two years as missionaries in Portugal and a year serving with a church in Vancouver, BC.
In 2002 peace came to Angola and the Daleys started to return for short periods of time. Today, Peter returns twice a year from 4 to 7 weeks at a time to teach among the Chokwes. He teaches itinerantly as well as at an indigenous rural Bible school. Some of the subjects include evangelism, leadership and various books of the Bible.
Peter and Louise have been happily married for 37 years. They have five grown children who are married to Christian spouses. The Daleys also are blessed with 7 grandchildren.
