Weekend in the Word 2016: Grace…#donotreducetoahashtag

Weekend in the Word is an annual weekend retreat, whereby believers of all ages are presented with hands-on, practical teaching in one of three areas: evangelism, Scripture, and personal living. This year David R. Jones will be speaking on the topic of Grace.

The aim of this weekend is to explore God’s grace. Most of us have experienced grace through our relationship with the living God through faith in Christ. Some have had experiences that have communicated God’s grace to them and some of us have seen grace more personally and intimately. May this weekend be of personal challenge, growth and most of all; that your intimacy with God would be palpable in your everyday life.

The registration fee covers meals, rental, syllabus, and honorarium, but there is no cost for accommodations because attendees are billeted with local church families. Once you register we will arrange for you to stay with one of the local church families.

SCHEDULE

• Friday: doors open at 6:30 pm, session starts at 7:30 pm
• Saturday: doors open at 9:00 am, session starts at 9:30 am
  • schedule ends with supper
• Sunday: session starts at 10:30 am, weekend finishes with lunch
• There will be an option to play outdoor sports Saturday afternoon.

WHAT TO BRING

Your own personal items, including a Bible, and pen/pencil for note-taking. We will provide printed notes.  If you need to bring anything extra (sleeping bag/pillow) we will let you know when we inform you of your host home.
