when: Friday, August 31 to Monday, September 3, 2012 (Labour Day weekend)
cost: $40/weekend or $6/meal
theme: The Disciple’s Character
God’s great desire is to see each of his people being conformed to the likeness of his Son, Jesus Christ. This camp will engage in God’s desire by exploring the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). We will grapple with three questions: “What is its context?” “What does it mean?” “How do we live it?” Please read Matthew 1-7 several times before coming to camp in order to get the most out of this exciting topic.
speaker: John B. MacDonald (New Westminster, BC) has an enthusiasm for equipping and encouraging others toward becoming more like Jesus Christ. John practised law for over twenty-five years until 2003. During those years he was bi-vocationally engaged in teaching and shepherding in various congregational and college contexts, most recently full-time at Westminster Bible Chapel (2003-2011). He has a Master of Christian Studies (Biblical Studies) from Regent College and a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Western University. John is married to Sharon, and they have four grown children.
