“… Are these things so?…” Acts 17:11
Revelation is the last book in the New Testament. It’s full title is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ,” which is also the subject of Compass Call’s next event, the School of Berea. We are pleased to have Mark Robinson back as our teacher. You will remember him for his many contributions over the years at both Weekend in the Word and the School of Apollos.
This school’s topic is far broader than simply examining prophetic camps that we so often align ourselves with. It’s a panoramic approach, as it reflects God’s plan throughout the ages—past, present, and future. Often when we discuss prophetic purposes, we speak of the “rapture,” “post-this” or “post-that,” or try to establish who’s the Beast, and whether the church will go through the Great Tribulation, among other issues.
Not so this time. Mark is planning to focus on the most important part, namely, Jesus Christ Himself, to show that God’s eternal purposes are wrapped up in a Person, not a programme. You see, it’s the revelation of the Lord Jesus that it is all about.
Berea is the school that examines the Scriptures daily to see whether these things [are] so (Acts 17.11). This is also the school where we look at matters over which there is a lot of misunderstanding, whether it is the will of God, how we got our Bible, or now, prophecy. We need clarity on these issues, not confusion!
We know that everyone can’t attend every Compass Call-sponsored event, but we would strongly urge you to attend one or two of them each year on a regular basis. See you there?
